ADMIN and TECHNICAL contacts represent people who have defined privileges to access and manage the configuration of the Peeredge Switches from the Peeredge Portal.
NOC, SALES, and BILLING contacts can receive notifications and emails regarding specific aspects of the Peeredge environment. Contact Type is a tag that defines the category of notifications a contact can receive.
If you do not have contacts set up, you will not be able to send notifications or other emails to your customers or vendors. A subscriber contact is defined at the Platform Level. A Subscriber Contact is defined by a Contact Type, a User Name, a Contact Name, a unique Contact Email Address, a Contact IM Address (currently not used), and a Primary Phone Number.
