The Signaling Manipulations for an Origination Customer Trunk Group are applied to the SIP Messages as they are sent to the Customer’s network device(s).

Header

  • ANI - Automatic Number Identification. The calling party number. Specifically the user portion of the URI in the From header.

  • DNIS - Dialed Number Information Service. The called party number. Specifically the user portion of the URI in the Request URI header. Typically, this is also the number is the To header.

  • SIP Code - The SIP Response Code.

  • IP - The IP Address in the XXX

  • Domain To - The host portion of the URI in the To header.

  • Domain From - The host portion of the URI in the From header.

Search - The numeric pattern to be matched against the selected Header

Alphabetic characters are not allowed in the Search Pattern. For example use ^1[2-9][0-9]{2}[2-9][0-9]{6}$ instead of ^1[2-9]\d{2}[2-9]\d{6})$ to match a valid North American Number.

Replace - The numeric pattern to replace the selected Header when the Search pattern is matched.

Use \1 instead of $1 to indicate the first parenetical grouping in the Search pattern and \2 for the second grouping and so on.

Common regular expressions - The URL of a website where you can build and test regular expressions.

Reset - Clears/resets the Header, Search and Replace fields.

Add Manipulation - Adds the manipulation to the Added Signaling Manipulations table. If any required fields are empty, this button is visible, and a red border appears around the fields. The word Required also displays beneath the field.

Added Signaling Manipulations - The number to the right of Added Signaling Manipulations is the number of Manipulations in the Added Signaling Manipulations Table. If there are no manipulations, no number displays.

Search - Filter the list of manipulations in the Added Signaling Manipulations table based on a simple ascii text pattern match.

HEADER - Displays the SIP Header to be manipulated.

SEARCH RULE - Displays the regular expression to match against the selected SIP Header.

REPLACE RULE - Displays the regular expression used to replace the SIP Header when the Search pattern is matched.

LAST MODIFIER - Displays the username of the person who last modified the manipulation.
