To add a new Phone Proxy Mode connection, click the Add Phone Proxy Mode button from the Phone Proxy Mode Menu.

Name - Type a meaningful name for the Phone Proxy Mode connection. A best practice is to include the Phone Proxy and Protocol used to for registration.

Location - This is the Orchestrator that the Phone Proxy Mode connection is created on.

Zone - This is the zone (logical network) on the Orchestrator that the Phone Proxy Mode connection is created on.

Orchestrator IP - This is the IP address that the SIP based IP phone or softphone will use to register to or through.

Protocol - This is the protocol that will be used to connect to the Orchestrator.

Port - This is the source port that will be used by the SIP based IP phone or softphone to registration to the Orchestrator. If the Protocol is UDP then this port is usually 5060. If the Protocol is TCP or TLS 1.2 then the Port must be set to 1. The value of 1 represents all ports. The TCP and TLS 1.2 Protocols use random ephemeral source ports to establish a connection.

For UDP and TCP the destination (Orchestrator listening) port is 5060. For TLS 1.2 it is 5061.

Reg Expiry - This field is used to determine how long in seconds that a successful registration should be cached by the Orchestrator. Once this time period has expired the registration will be flushed by the Orchestrator and the IP Phone or softphone will be required to re-register.

Main Registrar - This field contains the name of the Termination Vendor Trunk Group that is used to forward SIP messages to the customer PBX.

Registration Mode - This field determines how the SIP registration messages are processed.

Disabled - This option disables the Phone Proxy Mode. SIP registration messages are silently ignored.

Process Locally - The SIP registration messages are processed by the Orchestrator. If the phone is currently in the Orchestrator’s registration table, the Orchestrator will respond with a 200OK to refresh the registration. If the phone is not in the registration table, the Orchestrator will forward the registration to the customer PBX.

Pass through - The SIP registration messages are passed to the Main Registrar via the Trunk Group selected in the Main Registrar field.

Allowed User Agent - This is a security measure which will do a simple pattern match comparison of the value in this field with the value of the Sip User Agent header in the registration header. Up to five comma separated values can be placed in this field. If none of the comma separated entries match the contents of the User Agent the registration message will be ignored.

Allowed Domain - This is a security measure which will compare the value in this field to the domain portion of the request URI of the registration message. If the values do not match the registration message will be ignored.

Cancel - Click the Cancel button to discard the Add Phone Proxy Mode settings and return to the Phone Proxy Mode page.

Add Phone Proxy Mode - Click the Add Phone Proxy Mode button to create the new Phone Proxy Mode connection.
