Phone Proxy Mode provides the capability of SIP based IP phones and softphones on Public or external networks to register with or through the Orchestrator to a customer PBX on a private or internal network.
Conceptually Phone Proxy Mode is akin to a Termination Customer Trunk Group where the only signaling method is SIP based registration and the communication protocol is limited to either UDP, TCP, or TLS. To support multiple protocols simply create a Phone Proxy Mode Transport Proxy for each protocol that is to be used.
The Orchestrator IP used for Phone Proxy Mode will be a Public internet routable IP address that is dedicated for Phone Proxy Mode operation. It cannot be used or assigned for other purposes.
To disable the Phone Proxy Mode uncheck the icon in the STATUS column for the Transport Proxy that should be disabled.
