Media Anchoring

This setting allows you to anchor (proxy) the media of calls through the Peeredge SBC. This feature is useful for media topology hiding or going through firewalls.

Peeredge supports on-demand transcoding for media-anchored calls. If the Peeredge SBC cannot find a suitable codec negotiation on anchored calls, the system automatically negotiates the suitable originating and terminating codec and transcodes the session.
